Laundry on the LineI have very few memories of my childhood. Yet, I can vividly recall the smell of fresh laundry on the line. I am not sure where & when my Mom hung laundry {I don't recall taking part in the hanging} or if my memories stem from my grandmother who was a religious 'line dryer.' Regardless, when we purchased our house in 2004, I was ecstatic that I would be able to hang laundry. I line dry quite a bit & the result is fresh, crisp, clean laundry. Ironically, it turns out my boys have developed a love of laundry 'on the line.' Months ago after hanging sheets out, Benjamin climbed in his bed, took a deep breath, and said, "It smells fresh and cozy Mom." So today, on our first crisp Autumn-type day, I hung our bedding out. When it came time for Benjamin's nap, he asked if he could sleep on our bed (the sheets that I had just finished line drying). I couldn't resist & wanted to share. . .

I still hang my laundry out on the line too. I will always be thankful that my mother taught me how and instilled in me the love of fresh smelling laundry off the line :) Thanks for sharing !!
