"Fishing provides that connection with the whole living world. It gives you the opportunity of being totally immersed, turning back into yourself in a good way. A form of meditation, some form of communion with levels of yourself that are deeper than the ordinary self."
-Ted Hughes Our boys have always loved to go fishing. We have always enjoyed the lessons taught by the simplicity of throwing a line in the water. It is our view that fishing teaches the boys about patience in a natural setting. We don't explain that they must be patient and wait for a fish. They know it. They learned it by watching their Dad. Patience is a virtue . . . and one of the most important traits we want to instill in our boys. Taking the time to present opportunities for them to learn through their environment rather than through explicit instruction is something we take pride in.

“I could never stay long enough on the shore; the tang of the untainted, fresh, and free sea air was like a cool, quieting thought.” – Helen Keller
