We have finally finished wrestling. I am not sure if the boys want to do it again, but we hope they will. They learned some tough lessons about winning and losing this season. However, we are moving on with sports. This past weekend William had baseball evaluations. I can't believe spring is right around the corner! This is one sport he really enjoys and we are excited about the start of the new season. He ended the season with pitching a few great games & we hope he has the opportunity again this year. Benjamin chose to skip playing baseball this season. Two years of t-ball did him in! We are also getting busy preparing for a trip to the BAHAMAS! We plan on spending almost a week sailing with Mom & David. It will be the boys first airplane ride (well several since we will be island hopping on some puddle jumpers) and a nice getaway for Steve and I as we celebrate our 10th Anniversary this year {September}.

I have been taking a little bit of time for myself these days {albeit at 5:30 in the morning}. After a trip to the sewing room to plan the days orders and sip on a cup of joe, Sydney and I embark on our morning stroll. We happened to witness a colorful sunrise this morning and wanted to share. Have a fantastic weekend! xoxo
York, PA: This is our 3rd annual trip to Avalanche Xpress with our friends {The Kelly Family}. We always enjoy our 2 night 'stay & play,' especially this time of year when we are all just waiting for the warmer weather! William really enjoyed the ice skating. Here he is in this short video skating around the little rink! We also visted the emergency clinic late Sunday evening. BOOOOO! Benjamin wiped out at the top of the hill & hit his chin on the ice. We thought our streak of being 'stiches free' had unfortunately come to an end. However, the doctor didn't feel the trauma of getting stitches was worth it since the cut was under his chin. We agreed & left with 3 steri-strips & a snoopy bandaid. He was such a trooper!
When Steve and I dated years ago, he would send me gorgeous flowers & take me to dinner. I don't miss the flowers (they are expensive and they die) & we still get to go to dinner every now & then {yes, just the two of us}. Fast forward plenty of years {add in two little boys} and our lives have changed from when we first fell in love. However, I fall in love with him over and over again as I watch him be the father I always knew he would be. So this year the boys & I created a little Valentine's Day treasure; a framed picture of Steve with each boy individually along with some answers to random questions I asked each of them before school today. They gave a few candid answers, such as William's response to Dad's favorite drink: "Beer, but I probably wouldn't write that." Benjamin answered, "He gives dogs yummy's at UPS" when asked what Steve does when he goes to work.
Of course this project was done on the 'cheap.' A few pictures from the previous year, photo editing site {free} picmonkey.com, and two little frames. After playing around & getting the contrast 'just so,' I think they turned out pretty sweet. William & Benjamin participated in the Haverford Tournament this past Sunday. We are proud to say they each earned 2nd place. Now the adventure of finding a special place for these sparkly, gold trophies!
