We are blessed with wonderful neighbors on Shady Lane. They have presented many new opportunities for our boys & we are thankful.

A shout out to the little boy that put himself on the 'DL' last year. He didn't want to do another year of T-ball and we couldn't blame him. The one that now carries his glove around everywhere. Yes, this kid who had to use a back-up glove for tonight's game because he left his regular one in Daddy's truck. Well done! You hustled to first base after hitting every chance you had and fielded the ball so well that the other teams' coaches acknowledged your effort. You, young man, are turning out to be quite the ball player. We are so very proud of YOU! Little League baseball is a very good thing because it keeps the parents off the streets.
-Yogi Berra Kennett Square, Pennsylvania puts on several small town parades during the year. However, the Memorial Day Parade is by far the best. It lasts over an hour & honors those that have served or are serving in the military. William rode in the parade this year with Steve & some other KAU baseball players. Benjamin and I watched from Broad Street with friends & family.
It has been one long season this year playing for KAU. The boys had one win so far & playoffs start in 2 weeks! Oy! Individually speaking, William had a few great games of pitching. He was also able to get a few hits in this season.
William had a special friend visit from his 2nd grade class tonight (her older brother was playing on the field after William). Their friendship is truly special. William asked to stay a bit after his game so he and his friend could play. After chasing one another & chatting for a bit, they decided to throw the baseball back and forth. William praised her throws & catches. He was kind & encouraging. We are very proud of the amazing young man he continues to become. |
