October 2018 will mark 12 years since you left us. Coincidentally, it will be the one year anniversary since your beloved joined you.
This past Friday night was the first time I have seen you since you left. Of all things, you were on a horse. You were wearing a white t-shirt, tan colored hat, and glasses, much like the picture below. You had a white horse on a tether that followed you. The back of that horse sat empty. She was solid white. You didn't speak to me; you had a look of determination in your eyes. I knew you were on your way somewhere important. In my dream, you were off to collect Mom-mom from purgatory. ........................................................................................................................................................................................................................ As I excitedly shared the news with Mom early Saturday morning, I couldn't help feel amused at the content of the dream; you, two horses, and purgatory. I was so excited that I got to see you again, Pop-Pop. Most know, I am not a religious person by any means, but as years pass, I do feel my relationship with God growing. Mom-Mom, I hope you enjoyed your horseback ride! xoxo

I had the honor of chaperoning Benjamin's 5th grade field trip to Washington, D.C. on Monday, May 14, 2018. It was my second time visiting DC, the first being with William in 2016. What an incredible city filled with so much history. Our group was small, which was nice, as it allowed us to cover over 10 miles in 8 hours. Way to go boys! Highlights included: Vietnam Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, Korean War Memorial, World War II Memorial, National Monument, Arlington Cemetery, Kennedy Grave sites, Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Museum of American History, Museum of Natural History, the White House (from a distance), and the Reagan Building. The boys shared that their favorites parts were viewing artifacts in the Qrius lab in the Natural History museum, watching the changing of the guard at Arlington, and lunch. This was one of the best Friday nights I have had in a long time. A local group home, an invitation to play some 3 v 3, an evening to remember.
