Palm Coast, Florida The day of the final qualifier for states, we packed our little hatchback and headed south. We made it to Fayetteville, North Carolina in the wee hours of Sunday, March 20, 2016. After a noisy and not so restful night, we continued along our way, arriving at the Yacht Harbor Marina in Palm Coast, Florida. The warm sun embrace paled in comparison to the warm welcome received from Mom and David. We spent the week traveling the area and visiting local attractions. This included: Alligator Farm Marineland Castillo de San Marcos St. Augustine Kennedy Space Center Kennedy Space Center {Up Close and Personal Tour}Atlas V Rocket Launch {live}Yacht Harbor, eating Alligator Tail, Hammock Beach ResortAlligator Farm & Castillo de San Marcos

The boys bid for states is over.
Benjamin came in 4th and William came in 5th. They needed 1st or 2nd to advance to States. In a sense, it is nice to have the season come to an end. This has by far been our longest one yet. They wrestled more matches this year than in years past. They worked hard and it showed. The fact that they practice twice a week and are competing with kids who wrestle four to five times a week says something. What to do when you have a free weekend? Spend a little quality time with friends. Shooting, hiking, and playing games was a nice way to round out our winter. Much love to the Shindle's for their hospitality!
