The lights, the smells, the time with family and friends. Christmas is truly one of my favorites. I love the process of getting ready, the 'hustle and bustle.' Mom and I got to spend a day together shopping! It was such a treat to have the time with her. I am so thankful they were home for the holidays this year. Although it gets crazy busy and at times stressful, we are reminded about the spirit and joy of the season (check out our little reindeer). Cousins Dinner 2016Our annual cousins dinner was hosted by Joanne and Kevin McMinn . . . oh what a night! #seanpenn #kevinsright #fancybeast #nutcrackers #walkabout Christmas Eve 2016We hosted Christmas Eve dinner for our families this year, and we were fortunate enough to have Steve home to enjoy the time with family - and a friend, Mr. Reese. Christmas Day 2016We enjoyed the company of Mom and David on Christmas morning. Late afternoon we made our way to the Murphy/Powell home where the celebrations continued. Most of the family gathered to help MomMom celebrate her favorite holiday. Her health is deteriorating at a rapid rate, and we are grateful for the time we had with her this season. Last but not least, a special family announcement!

Yes, another peak season is upon us. This means Steve is out late nearly every night, working Saturdays, just to play Santa around Chester County! #UPS #brown
We started wrestling, wrapped up a great first sewing session, and have enjoyed family and friends for the past month. One of my favorite moments was when an old friend reached out to tell me how much she loved our Christmas card. She mentioned how much the boys look alike and that I looked so happy! What a sweet and kind thing to do. She truly made my week! Another favorite moment that occurred can be summed up like this: After sharing that he really wanted a Santa hat so he can play Santa on Christmas morning, we promised to get him one after wrestling this past Saturday. He was 0-4 on the day, zero points to his name. Before his last match we reminded him that we would be getting him a Santa hat, but we wanted to see him earn a point. A single point in his final match after being beat four times earlier in the day. Tough for anyone to handle such defeat, but we needed him to get out on that mat and earn his point. To prove to himself that he could. And he did. Two points actually. And each night after his shower he wears his Santa hat. #lifewithboys #wrestling #christmas2016 Forever and Always . . . #boymom |
