Today, September 29, 2016 marks one month since William began sixth grade. His transition could not have been any smoother. He currently has straight A's in all his courses, is attending after school programs with friends, and is looking forward to his first Middle School dance.
Aside from the above mentioned, his attitude is well adjusted, he is learning about the importance of planning and preparation, and genuinely seems to enjoy school. We are so proud of you William! xoxo Mom & Dad Olympic Gold Medalist, Jordan Burroughs . . . in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania visiting OUR wrestling club. What an amazing experience for all the young boys and girls in our club (and other clubs as well).
Steve participated in a softball tournament on September 17, 2016. The tournament was a fundraiser for the Todd Manga Foundation for Non-Violence, a charity whose mission is to provide scholarships to those interested in pursuing a career in law enforcement. The foundation was created in memory of Todd Manga, who lost his life due to violent crime.
It was an honor to witness the brotherhood and strength of these men, most of them members of the St. James Alumni, to honor their friend and classmate, Todd Manga. I am humbled by the amount of interest and support I have received regarding my sewing classes. Nine students, eager and interested in the art of sewing. The first session covered the basics of sewing: safety, machine parts, threading the machine and winding the bobbin, straight stitches, pivoting and turning, applique, and joining fabric to fabric. They are a studious bunch and I look forward to continuing to watch them grow in knowledge and skill. |
