Being one with good intentions, I had planned to journal about our summer adventures. Turns out we were too busy enjoying our adventures that I didn't have time to chronicle them. In between working and completing house renovations, we hosted nearly 100 people this summer on Shady Lane (35 in one weekend alone)! Our summer cottage turned into a campground and some of the best memories were made with friends we love and adore. Life at the beach wouldn't be complete without weekends spent with family too. In reality, that is what it is all about; spending some QT with the ones nearest and dearest to your heart. Summer of 2015 was also the first summer we enjoyed the waters of the Rehoboth Bay by boat, meeting new friends and a new way of living. Crabbing, clamming, and fishing have become quite common while spending time on Shady Lane. "Isn't it ironic. Don't you think?"
That our air conditioner died and we had a three ton delivery of fuel the same week? Schlepping forty-pound bags of pellets in ninety degree weather with a humidity index off the charts? |
